The most popular housing that students opt for is shared apartments.
နိုင်ငံခြားမှာကျောင်းသွားတက်တဲ့ ဘယ်လိုနေထိုင်မလဲဆိုတာကို ရွေးချယ်ပြီးပြီလား? နိုင်ငံခြားမှာ ကျောင်းသွားတက်တဲ့သူတွေအတွက် ကိုယ်နဲ့သင့်တော်မယ့် နေထိုင်ဖို့နေရာတစ်ခုကို ရွေးချယ်နိုင်ဖို့ကအရေးကြီးပါတယ်။ နေထိုင်ဖို့အတွက် ရွေးချယ်နိုင်တဲ့ နေရာအမျိုးအစားကလည်း (၃) မျိုးလောက်ရှိပါတယ်။ Home stay ဆိုတဲ့ အိမ်မှာနေတာ၊ Dormitories ဆိုတဲ့ အဆောင်တွေမှာနေထိုင်တာ၊ နောက်ပြီး Shared apartments ဆိုတဲ့ အခန်းကိုမျှဝေသုံးစွဲပြီး နေထိုင်လို့ရပါတယ်။ ဒီ Shared apartment ကတော့ နိုင်ငံတကာကျောင်းသားတွေကြားမှာ အကြိုက်တွေ့နေတဲ့ ရွေးချယ်စရာတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
Shared Apartment
Shared apartment housing would be the most popular housing option for many students who have graduated from AUY. As most students are in small groups of no less than three, they are able to look out for each other during their study abroad. Most of the students are entitled to their own private rooms. Students also help out each other when it comes to making meals at home to reduce the expenses.
Shared apartment အိမ်ယာတွေက American University of Yangon ကနေ ကျောင်းသွားတက်ပြီး ဘွဲ့ရရှိခဲ့ကြတဲ့ကျောင်းသားအများစုအတွက် ရေပန်းစားတဲ့နေရာတစ်ခုပါ။ ကျောင်းသားအများစုက သုံးယောက်ထက်မနည်းတဲ့အုပ်စုငယ်တွေအဖြစ်ရှိနေပြီး Shared apartment မှာနေထိုင်တာက နိုင်ငံခြားမှာ ပညာသင်နေတဲ့ကာလတွေမှာ သူတို့အချင်းချင်း ဖေးမကူညီနိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Shared apartment မှာနေတဲ့ကျောင်းသားအများစုကို သူတို့ကိုယ်ပိုင်အခန်းတွေနဲ့နေထိုင်ပါတယ်။ အိမ်မှာ ကျောင်းသားတွေ အချင်းချင်း ဟင်းချက်ပြုတ်ရာမှာကူညီပြီး ကုန်ကျစရိတ်ကိုလည်း ချွေတာနိုင်ကြပါတယ်။
Dorms
Most universities in America make it compulsory for freshman students to stay in dorms for at least a year before choosing another housing option. One of the perks of living in a dorm is that students do not have to commute back and forth to school. You do not have to worry about when to catch a bus or a sub to school. One drawback of university dorms is that you have to share a room with another student and there is no guarantee that you will get along well with your dorm mates. You are not entitled to full privacy when you have to share a room with another person.
အမေရိကန်နိုင်ငံမှာရှိတဲ့ တက္ကသိုလ်အများစုက ကျောင်းသားအသစ်တွေကို နေထိုင်ဖို့မရွေးချယ်ခင်မှာ Dorms ဆိုတဲ့အဆောင်တွေမှာ အနည်းဆုံးတစ်နှစ်လောက် မဖြစ်မနေနေထိုင်ခိုင်းလေ့ရှိပါတယ်။ Dorms မှာနေရတာရဲ့ကောင်းကျိုးတစ်ခုက ကျောင်းသားတွေအနေနဲ့ တက္ကသိုလ်ကိုအသွားအပြန်လုပ်စရာမလိုပါဘူး။ တက္ကသိုလ်သွားဖို့အတွက် ဘတ်စ်ကား၊ ရထားတွေစောင့်စီးရဖို့အတွက်လည်း စိတ်ပူစရာမလိုပါဘူး။ တက္ကသိုလ်အဆောင် Dorms တွေရဲ့ မကောင်းတဲ့အချက်တစ်ခုကတော့ တခြားကျောင်းသားတွေနဲ့ အခန်းကိုမျှဝေသုံးစွဲရမှာဖြစ်ပြီး ကိုယ်နဲ့အဆင်ပြေတဲ့အခန်းဖော်ရဖို့အတွက်က အာမမခံနိုင်ပါဘူး။ နောက်ပြီး တခြားလူတစ်ယောက်နဲ့ တစ်ခန်းတည်းအတူနေရတဲ့အခါမှာ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ Privacy လည်း အပြည့်အဝမရနိုင်ပါဘူး။
Homestay
Homestay is a different and unique housing. It is suitable housing for students who are still of a young age (under 18 ) when they start attending university. The host family is able to supervise and look after the student. They can also act as a support system for the student if they ever have problems during their study abroad. Most host families are very warm and student-friendly that they even become a second set of parents for the student. Homestay students are given their own room so they have full privacy. On the other hand, there might be another student that the host family is hosting at the time and the chances are high that they might go to the same school the student does. It is a very good opportunity to make acquaintances with students from other countries.
Home stay ဆိုတဲ့ အိမ်မှာနေထိုင်တာကတော့ တခြားအရာတွေနဲ့မတူတဲ့ နေထိုင်နိုင်တဲ့နေရာတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒါက အသက်ငယ်ငယ်နဲ့ တက္ကသိုလ်စတက်တဲ့ကျောင်းသားတွေအတွက် သင့်တော်တဲ့နေထိုင်မှုပုံစံတစ်ခုပါပဲ။ အိမ်ပိုင်ရှင်မိသားစုတွေက နေထိုင်တဲ့ကျောင်းသားကို ကြည့်ရှု့စောင့်ရှောင့်ပေးနိုင်မှာလည်း ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ နောက်ပြီး သူတို့အတွက် ကိုယ်ပိုင်အခန်းနဲ့နေရတာဖြစ်လို့ Privacy အပြည့်အဝရနိုင်ပါတယ်။ တခြားတစ်ဖက်မှာလည်း ဒီအိမ်မှာလာနေထိုင်တာ ကိုယ်တစ်ယောက်တည်းမဟုတ်ပဲ ကိုယ့်လိုကျောင်းသားတွေလည်းရှိနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အဲဒီကနေ တခြားနိုင်ငံက ကျောင်းသားတစ်ယောက်နဲ့သိကျွမ်းနိုင်တာမို့ အခွင့်လမ်းကောင်းတစ်ခုလည်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
